Beginning with the promoters’ involvement in trading and distribution, the business expanded into industrial minerals, feed ingredients, manufacturing and international supply chains.
Today, the Group operates across three complementary business verticals: Feed & Nutrition Solutions, Industrial Minerals & Chemicals, and Renewable Feedstock, supported by manufacturing capabilities, strategic partnerships and established distribution networks.

Entrepreneurial Beginnings
Sanjiv Girdharlal Vasant began his entrepreneurial journey in chemicals and allied businesses, establishing the foundation of long-standing commercial experience and business relationships.
Entry into Lime Trading & Distribution
The business expanded into lime trading and distribution, developing sourcing capabilities, market knowledge and customer relationships in the industrial minerals sector.
Entry into Feed-Grade DCP Distribution
The business entered the feed phosphate segment through trading and distribution of Feed-Grade Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP), establishing its presence in feed nutrition.
From Trading to an Integrated Manufacturing and Global Business Platform
Incorporation of the Company
The company was incorporated as Sun Organosys Private Limited, establishing the corporate foundation that subsequently evolved into Shivam Chemicals Limited.
Evolution into Shivam Chemicals
The company adopted the name Shivam Chemicals Private Limited, reflecting its growing presence across chemicals, industrial minerals and feed ingredients.
Incorporation of Manufacturing Subsidiary
On 23 December 2019, Shivam Chemicals & Minerals Private Limited (SCMPL) was incorporated, marking a significant step towards the Group’s strategic expansion into manufacturing and value-added products
GIDC Plot Allotment and Commencement of Construction
Following the allotment of an industrial plot by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) at Dahej, Gujarat, construction of the manufacturing facility commenced in 2021. This marked the development of the Group’s manufacturing infrastructure and its transition towards an integrated business model.
Introduction of Feed-Grade MCP
The Group introduced Feed-Grade Monocalcium Phosphate (MCP), complementing its existing DCP distribution business and broadening its feed phosphate offering.
Commencement of Hydrated Lime Manufacturing
Hydrated Lime manufacturing operations commenced at Dahej through SCMPL in 2023. This marked a major milestone in the Group’s evolution from trading and distribution into manufacturing, strengthening its Industrial Minerals & Chemicals business.
Transition to Shivam Chemicals Limited
The company transitioned into Shivam Chemicals Limited, reflecting its evolution into a public limited company and preparing for its next phase of corporate growth.
IPO and BSE SME Listing
Building on its established trading, distribution and manufacturing operations, Shivam Chemicals Limited successfully completed its Initial Public Offering and was listed on the BSE SME platform in 2024.
Amino Acids Procurement from China
The Group expanded its feed nutrition sourcing portfolio by commencing procurement of amino acids from China.
Initial Renewable Feedstock Export Shipments
The Group undertook its first renewable feedstock aggregation and completed two trial export shipments to the United States, establishing an initial platform for future export business.
Expansion into Quick Lime Operations at Khimsar
Shivam Chemicals Limited further strengthened its Industrial Minerals & Chemicals business by taking up Quick Lime operations at Khimsar, Rajasthan, in 2025. This expansion complemented the Group’s existing Hydrated Lime manufacturing operations at Dahej and supported its long-term backward integration strategy.
Diversification into Feed-Grade Dicalcium Phosphate
Through SCMPL, the Group expanded its manufacturing portfolio into Feed-Grade Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP) at Dahej. This diversification builds on the Group’s established feed phosphate business and strengthens its participation in the feed nutrition value chain.
